Anna Antonutti

Anna Antonutti is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator based in Udine, Italy.

Following her studies in Communication Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Anna enriched her experience in illustration with internationally renowned illustrators such as Gabriel Pacheco and Sarolta Szulyovszky.

Her work has a wide range of applications, including furnishing accessories for children, packaging, children books, CD/book covers and motion graphics. Illy Caffè and Alliance Against Cancer are some of her high-profile clients.

Anna enjoys working with traditional techniques (including acrylic painting and mixed technique) and digitally but she considers that “every project has its own recipe, cooked with a technique, a style and a language specifically studied for it.”

Anna’s work is characterised by a soft colour palette that is complemented with gentle painterly strokes. Whimsical landscapes are punctuated with surreal characters and dreamlike, enchanted scenes that possess an ethereal quality. Her work invites the viewer to explore the world presented to them and to build upon the existing narrative. She believes the details make the difference, creating an emotion or simply arousing a smile. She won the award for the best project on eco-design at the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia. Her works have appeared in several exhibitions including the Children’s Illustration International Exhibition of Sarmede, Italy.
